Reed Exhibitions, the owner of JCK Events and JCK Magazine, has recently purchased Jewelers international Showcase (JIS).
Yancy Weinrich, senior vice-president of JCK Events, feels positive about the acquisition. “The JIS events offer a unique opportunity for buying and will continue to deliver enhanced customer value and a broader pool of retailers in this growing market,” she says. “This is an exciting opportunity [for JCK] to expand our jewellery portfolio.”
Jordan Tuchband, the current vice-president of sales and operations for JIS, is set to join Reed Exhibitions as industry vice president for JIS Events.
“JIS’s product range covers all price points from high-end designers to popular,” he adds. “There’s something for every type of retailer [here].”
The first JIS show under Reed’s ownership will take place October 15-18 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. CJ
