Revitalize Your Jewellery Collection with Michael Hill’s Eco-Friendly Gold Recycling Initiative
In a significant move towards sustainability and responsible jewellery consumption, Michael Hill, a leader in fine jewellery retail, proudly introduces its gold recycling initiative, Re:cycle, to the Canadian market. This pioneering program invites Canadians to breathe new life into their old or unworn gold jewellery by exchanging it for Michael Hill gift vouchers, fostering a culture of recycling and sustainability.
Why Re:cycle Matters:
Precious metals, like gold, possess the remarkable ability to be refined and recycled without diminishing in value or purity. Michael Hill’s Re:cycle program capitalizes on this sustainability aspect, promoting the reuse of precious metals and supporting the brand’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives. By participating in Re:cycle, customers not only contribute to a more sustainable future but also enjoy the opportunity to refresh their jewellery collections in an environmentally conscious way.
A Word from Our CEO, Daniel Bracken:
“Every step we take in sourcing and manufacturing our products has an impact on our planet. By extending the Re:cycle program to our Canadian customers, we aim to make a significant environmental impact and move closer to our goal of a fully sustainable, responsible, and circular product line by 2030,” states Daniel Bracken, CEO of Michael Hill.
How to Participate in the Re:cycle Program:
Engaging with the Re:cycle program is straightforward. Customers can obtain a complimentary Re:cycle kit from any Michael Hill store or order one online. After sending their old gold pieces to Michael Hill for assessment, customers will receive a gift card reflecting the value of their items, based on the current market rate for gold, determined through X-Ray Fluorescence Analysis.
