Silicon Valley-based MOTA has designed a piece of jewellery that alerts the wearer with notifications of calls and texts received. The back of the ring has wires that connect to a battery terminal outside of the device. The MOTA Smart Ring has four different lights that lights up for each different notification. MOTA is planning to have the SmartRing manufactured and mass-produced by January.

The project is still in its early stages, the company’s Indiegogo page runs a $150,000 campaign for the product, which is expected to retail for $100. Through the Indiegogo campaign, the SmartRing will be available for a discounted price of $75. The device will be available in Midnight Black and Pearl White Colours, capable of fitting all sizes.
